1. Balehu – Powering Commerce

Worldwide, small business are struggling to grow. In the U.S. alone 50% of companies fail in their first 5 years. The key challenge is cash flow. Balehu’s research and early traction has proven that the solution to this challenge is to create a growth engine made specifically for small businesses. Leveraging proof of stake its protocol can validate transactions on consumer mobile devices. Additional software tools that provide marketing and sales capabilities designed for small business use cases will also be available powered by the protocol.

Balehu is run by a top team. The CEO, Mike Berson grew up in a $15MM/year family business, Tremont Electric, established in 1925 and has led several successful entrepreneurial ventures. The CTO, Fredreick Townes has co-founded multiple companies including Placester ($100M in funding) and Mashable ($50MM in funding) – he has created a over 500 million in value for investors. The key blockchain engineer is a part of the Ethereum Foundation.

1. Kochava (XCHNG Blockchain)

Today's digital ecosystem is more complex than ever, making it difficult for marketers to capture and analyze all digital touchpoints. Further, the supply chain itself does not operate on a common system of insertion orders that are traceable from contract to delivery to measurement and ratings. As a global market of over $220 billion in 2017, the digital advertising industry is ripe for transformation. Outside of the duopoly of Google and Facebook, there is currently no system which enables targeting audiences at scale while also protecting consumers' personal data and identities. Additionally, the advertising space is fraught with issues such as ad fraud and brand safety issues, where fifty cents of every dollar is lost to middleware, mediation and fraud.

Kochava Labs SEZC is introducing the XCHNG platform to tackle these issues head on with an open, global distributed ledger facilitating end-to-end workflow. Through the use of a crypto-verified distributed ledger, all parties will be able to participate in the workflow of the IO together—from discovery and negotiation to execution, verification, and payment. The framework addresses the critical concerns in the digital advertising landscape through:

1. Facilitating the buying and selling of ads using smart contract IOs;

Charles Manning is the founder and CEO of Kochava, the leading mobile attribution analytics platform serving tier-one advertisers worldwide. For nearly 20 years Charles has been creating technologies that use data for system optimization, ranging from business service management (BSM) to information technology (IT) to attribution analytics, and most recently blockchain. Charles began his career at Oracle, and later held executive and C-Level positions at M-Code, Managed Objects, and PLAYXPERT.

Prior to founding Kochava, Charles founded PLAYXPERT – which started as a gaming technology platform. After licensing the PLAYXPERT technology to Razer, Charles built a team that focused its time on building engagement platforms for entrepreneurs and agencies. Upon realizing that there were no standard platforms providing effective attribution or post-install analytics in mobile – Charles and his team built one, and Kochava was born. The Kochava technology is now integrated with more than 3,500 networks and publishers and is trusted by hundreds of brands including the biggest names in mobile gaming, news and media, and consumer goods.
